Gaularfjell (Gaular mountains).

The Gaularfjell road is one of Norway's 18 designated National Tourist Routes due to its spectacular scenery. See www.nasjonaleturistveger.no

Various walks can be done up on the Gaular mountains.

One example is:
Torsnesstølen - Skarvatn fishing hut and a bit beyond (700-740m height difference, undulating trail).
You are already above the tree line so you can enjoy open mountain views all the way along the trail. Just beyond the fishing hut the path goes over the edge to a waterfall and river which flows all the way down the valley to the fjord. 3 - 4 hours round trip, returning the same way. Moderate.

There is also the 21 km waterfall hike, which you can join at various points along its route to make your own length.
